EACH OF THESE FIGURES ARE HAND-MADE FROM SCRATCH, NO MOLDS, NO FACTORY REPRODUCTIONS. NO MORE THAN 10 EDITIONS OF ANY ONE FIGURE WILL EVER BE MADE (ie. 6 Van Gogh’s have been made since 2002, so only 4 more will be made). MULTIPLE EDITIONS WILL ONLY BE MADE TO MEET DEMAND, SO 10 WILL NOT NECESSARILY BE MADE OF EVERY FIGURE.
These are articulating, miniature, interactive sculptures, aka. “action figures” or “toys”, each hand-sculpted with synthetic polymer clay, wood and elastic by Leavitt. The figures are mostly NOT PAINTED. 95% of all details are executed with the pigmented polymer clay. Colors are hand-mixed. Hidden features are built into some figures, including movable ears, opening heads, revolving chest panels, and removable body implants. Most figures are between 7 and 10 inches tall, but can range from 3 to 12 inches tall. Glass vitrine-style domes can be included for permanent protection and display, or diorama-like backgrounds can be built to suit the scenery, environment, or setting of the figure.
